One of the declared missions of the institution is to empower the socially, economically and educationally marginalized sections of the society. The college is committed to empower the socio-economically backward portion of the district through knowledge-based quality education. A majority of the students of the college belongs to socio-economically marginalized sections of the society, the rural youths of disadvantaged groups. These youths have been channelized through quality higher education since its inception in 1964. The institution laid top priority on the holistic development of the marginalized sections-- STs, SCs, OBCs/MOBCs and girls. A strength of 75 teaching members and 15 non-teaching members is ceaselessly engaged in this process of developing capacity and skill. The college is providing a congenial academic environment for cultivating knowledge, wisdom, skill, creative ability and moral being in the young minds. They are made to develop in them the good human being which is essential in social existence.
